Kuddleup Curly Coated Retriever Stud has only officially been in existance since June 7, 2005. We have however, owned, shown and bred dogs for many years, including Murray River Curlies and our Australian Cattle Dog "Colonydane Riot In Red (Tia). Our dogs have the run of our 500 acre cattle property Fynalea, which is only minutes from the heart of the world renowned Padthaway Wine District in South Australia. We believe this to be an ideal environment for the breeding and healthy development of our Curlies. Our first Purebred Curly Coated retriever was purchased in August 2004 from Anne Hinks of Teandjah Kennels at Springton in South Australia. Since then we have shown "Teandjah Jasmines Dreams" aka Georgie and achieved the title of Australian Champion with her. On December 23, 2005 we were joined by our new puppy bitch "Ringlord Tarlisman". Tarli began her show career with a bang in June 2006 with Best Minor Puppy in Group at Mt Gambier and we are hopeful that she will prove to be an outstanding bitch to breed on from in the future. Our dogs are hip scored and PRA tested clear prior to breeding. We place particular attention on temperament and conformation and all dogs are well socialised and interact well with our cattle, cats, horses and poultry. They are also well socialised to the world outside the farm. (we believe this to be particularly important) We would love to spread the world with wonderful, placid, fun loving, people loving curlies. They are like our Australian Stock Horses in a way.....the breed for every need!
